Stacey Woolley

Violinist Stacey Woolley was a student of Boston Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Joseph Silverstein at Boston University and studied with Dorothy Delay at CCM, from which he graduated summa cum laude in 1983. From 1984 - 1989, Stacey was a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. In 1989, he returned to his hometown as a member of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and is now in his 35th year with the CSO. Stacey has performed as a concerto soloist with both the Detroit and Cincinnati orchestras, performed dozens of chamber music concerts, and made numerous recordings. He has also served as an adjunct professor of violin at CCM, Miami University, and, for nine years, Cedarville University. Twice past president of the Cincinnati MacDowell Society, which he joined in 1997, Stacey was awarded the CMS MacDowell Medal earlier this year.
